Question Night diving

I have done my first 3 dives in my last holiday, and really am into diving, i like it so much, am going back to holiday after a month and am willing to go for my first certification. I was only wondering if i will have to do night diving, cause really i dont think night diving is in my plan.

Also i wanna ask What Do You See At Night?, and why is really people go for night diving?

Wink Re: Night diving

It seems you had a great time on your first few dives. Nice one and congratulations for the good choice of sport. Scuba Diving is a fantastic and wonderful activity.
To start you will be completing an entry level course. As a PADI Course Director I suggest you complete the PADI Open Water Diver Course. This is a 4 to 5 days diving course teaching you to become a confident and comfortable entry level diver. This certification will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres with a dive buddy in an envirnment simliar or better, where you have been trained in. During this program there will be no night diving at all.
After the completion of the Open Water Diver Course you can go on a Adventures in Diving program. During this course you have the opportunity to choose from several adventure dives, including a night dive of you wish. For the Advanced Open Water certification you must complete 5 dives. Two of the 5 are core dives, which are deep and navigation. The remaining 3 you choose with your instructor and relevant to the area and your interest. It odes not have to be a night dive, but Ithink night diving is a fantastic dive as you see creatures which you usually do not see during the day.
What you can see during a night dive obviously depends where you are going to do this dive. The oceans are very much different. There is a big difference between the Med and the indian ocean, or a lake.
Where ever you think to dive, night diving is a brilliant opportunity to learn more about marine life and personal skills. I would not miss a night dive for the world.

I hope this helps.

Have a good time and always safe diving

Dive Devil

Default Re: Night diving

I think it will be a great adventure to go diving at night, its only that i was afraid a bit of the idea of diving in the dark, am sure that i will do it and i hope it will be ok as really i like to check the Sea Night Life, it will be also pretty interesting to check my self under water.

Any way thanks for your helpful reply.
