Unhappy Dry mouth-throat from cancer radiation treatment

Due to radiation treatment for throat cancer, I need to keep my throat moisturized by drinking water every 15 to 20 minutes. What can I do while diving (if at all)? Is there some kind of water bottle with a one way valve or add an Apollo Bio-filter to my frist stage, in which you add water? I have not attempted to dive since treatment one year ago and we are heading to the Bahamas soon...I would love to get wet! I've been diving for many years and would hate to have to give it up. Seems like I wouldn't be the only one with this condition?

Default Re: Dry mouth-throat from cancer radiation treatment

Hi,
Sherwood has exclusively developed two, second-stage moisture-retention fins for the Oasis that keep your mouth cool and comfortable all-dive long.
Welcome to Sherwood Scuba!
I don't know if this is enough in your case... In sport shops you can find soft containers with a pipe to put in a rucksack in order to drink from the pipe. I am pretty sure you can fit on of those container in your BCD pocket and if you press on the container the liquid should come out.
Maybe A little less hygienic: being emerged in water, it should not be difficult to take a sip of it.
If the first solution is not enough I would go for the second but I would not give diving up.
Mako
