Hello Mermaid

In order to give you the right advice please inform us about how many dives you have, when was your last dive, do you dive regularly and do you feel confident in the water now?

Default Re: Advanced open water padi advice!!

Yes, you are ready for the advanced open water diver course it will benefit you. There is no minimum time or dives required between the open water diver and the advanced open water diver course. But in my point of view if you are confident in the water it's better to dive at least fifty dives before starting your advanced course. This way you will be more familiar with your equipment, your buoyancy and this way you will be able to concentrate much more on your course and the exciting new things you will learn. During your advanced course you will learn about different kinds of diving like deep diving, underwater navigation and maybe you will have the opportunity to choose 1 or 2 kinds of diving. Take advantage to choose the kind of diving you use during you weekend dives. If you dive in rivers or in cold water or from a boat take advantage to ask for drift diving, dry suit diving or boat dives...

I hope this advice helped you, otherwise don't hesitate to ask again with more details about your question.

Mako
