Diving refresher

We did the PADI course a few years back, then didn't dive for two years so we did a refresher course whilst on holiday in Egypt last October. How long can we go between dives without having to do a another refresher course?

Most diving centres will recommend to do a refresher course after one or two years not diving, depending on ones current experience.
So, if you only passed your OWD, and after 2 years you did only the refresher without further dives, you will be more confident, if you do an additional one whilst your next holidays.
Then, if you have the chance, make at least 8 or 10 dives to gain some experience. Look for a diving centre, which offers guiding in small groups, so the dive guide will be able to observe you and give you some suggestions for improvement.
