Default Best Time to Dive - Tides

There is a local dive site here that is very accessible by my brother and I and we really enjoy it. It is the Destin Finger Jetties. Some days the water likes us and sometimes the water doesen't. I have a tide chart that tells when High Tide is best when Low Tide is the worst, i'm guessing that is how it works. It is the entrance to the past so the current can get really bad if you do not time it right. My question is, when is the best time to go? For example my tide chart will says 8:00aH and 6:00pL.

I heard about the Destin Jetties, it seems to be an excellent dive.

In my point of view, when you’re diving in a location like that, it’s a good idea to ask for advice in a local dive shop. They can provide you with exact information about the best time for diving, instead of guessing how your tide chart is working.

If high tide is at 8am best time to dive will be at 8am and be out of water at 9am. This way you will have no current from the tide and best visibility.
But as Daddycool wrote, check first with your local diving center or experience qualified diver in the region that knows well the dive site concerning security. Even if the high tide drains particles from areas that were out of water at low tide my prediction of good visibility could be wrong.
Wish you many good dives!
