Default Scuba travel

if I travel I'd be spending a few bucks for an extra suitcase now. If I bring weights I will be paying more for overweight luggage too. I recall how the dive boats all seemed to have a bunch of lead weights on board but nothing for the integrated system. Do you guys travel with your weights or simply resort to a belt and let the integrated pockets just sit empty when traveling to remote locations. Or do you opt to rent the full BC? There is probably a ton of other questions about traveling with your SCUBA equipment. Anything else I should be aware of before I bite this rather big bullet?

I can fit hard weights into my BC. It's a Seaquest Black Diamond... What about yours?

My husband and I have done alot of traveling the last few years, and we are learning to pack leaner and leaner. DO NOT PACK WEIGHTS. We haven't been to a place yet that doesn't have weights provided. They will fit in the integrated systems. Just a word of warning: protect your non-dump pockets from the hard weights. Enjoy your trips.

Hey John Deep,
My quick recommendation to u is to call teh shop or boat that you will be diving with and find out if they have soft weight as i realize with my divers are now becoming continually popular. Hard weight are not a bad replacement, it the constant usage and tavel that causes the dreadful wear and tear of your BCD, but by all mean aviod traveling with your own weights, too much of a hassle, and the fees are rediculus.
