Hi Guys, My name is Ray Lightbourne, I very happy to now be a part of this forum. I also excited to get to know as many of you as I can. I’m a huge dive fan, I’m actually an instructor from the Bahamas (shark diving, dolphin diving, wreck diving, cavern diving) there is great diving over here; I also dive in Florida and do World Expeditions. For the next 3 months I will be taking trips around the Caribbean and explore the very best there is, this includes high intensity animal interaction. Ray,
We are thinking about a dive trip to bahamas next year but it would need to be in July. Is the weather pretty hot then and is that the peak of hurricane season? Where is the best diving in the Bahamas? |

Hey ksmom,
July is my favorite month of diving, great weather water temp in the 80's and blazing hot, so the only thing to do is get in the water. As for the best place to dive, my recommendating will be to ask you as to what you would like to see and experience and i can do your home work for you. Anywhere from wrecks, deep reefs, sharks, dolphins, drift, you name it, somewhere in these bahama islands you can find it. I'm dive off the northern island, Grand Bahama and we have really nice and diverse diving here, whether you a novice of experienced diver, there issomething for you.
