If you want to make up an anti fog solution to stop your mask from fogging up after a while in the water, get a large bottle of baby shampoo (no more tears) and boil it down until there is only a tiny amount left.

Put it all into a little bottle and put a fingertip of the stuff on the faceplate of your mask before going in the water. Lasts for a good time, and when the mask gets a bit of water in it, it doesn't sting the eyes.

Whenever you are buying a mask, make sure that you have mouth piece in your mouth. This way your face has the same characteristics, when trying a mask, as when you have a snorkel or a regulator in your mouth. A mask may fit very well when putting it on your face, and you inhale through your nose while having your mouth closed. But then this may change as soon as you put your regulator in your mouth, because the mask may not seal anymore properly.

Always make sure your fin straps and buckles are in good order.

Swimming in circles is no fun and could get you laughed at.

Don't waste money buying expensive binoculars. Simply stand closer to the object you wish to view.

For those heady runs ashore create instant designer stubble by sucking a magnet and dipping your chin into a bowl of iron filings.

Always make sure you have a good edge on your knife.

A blunt knife can let you down in an emergency, and if you're carrying it on your person onshore you'll still get arrested regardless of whether its sharp or not.

Pretend you`re a giant panda by giving yourself two black eyes, eating only bamboo shoots and refusing to have sex with the missus.

Use Less Air

Move slowly. All your movements, not just your swimming, should be slow. Turn around slowly, reach to tighten your fin strap slowly, as if you were submerged in molasses.
