Default Is it safe to buy second hand scuba diving equipment?

from ebay for example, and how much should one pay for a full set
New gear and you can expect the price to start at around 1500 bucks all in. It only goes up from there. I've got about 30 grand invested in my two rigs for my recreational gear for example.

Hello

it safe to use second hand scuba gear but you should to check them well before you dive with them and you can do this even in a swimming pool, and about how to buy them i prefer if you go to the dive shop so you can see what you will bey for before you get it, or from the diving center where you going to dive in your next holiday, or from E-bey but i don't advice this so much, have a good dive.

Hi,
i agree with redseadiving, there is no problem to buy used equipment as long as you can examine its state and check it before paying. Lots of divers sell their equipments, nearly unused, because it became too big or too small, or they like to have always the newest editions, etc.
If you want to buy from ebay you should look up for their conditions before (guarantee? right of return?).
If you are unsure to trust used gear, ebay als offers new equipment, which might be cheaper there than in dive shops. I prefer personally to use the consulting in the dive shop, also there you can find special offers from time to time.
Check it out!
