Rep Power: 0 | | Re: SCUBAPRO MK25/S600 Question?? I have all Scuba Pro gear. I have used the MK25/S600 for about 7 years. I think Scuba Pro products are very good. However, don't trust the warrantee claims. They will tell you life time on service and parts. That is not true unless the dive shop remembers or accurately reports the sale. As a result, you will have a high cost of service. The dive computers are the same. They have to go back to scuba pro for new batteries. About 125 a pop including shipping. So for me granted they are the best gear, the cost of owning is very high and not worth the new purchase. I would like at Aqua Lung, Dive Rite, or other brands which do have a cheaper service bill and do claim great warrantee's only to do provide quality service.

thanks for your advice. I think I will decide for one, cause it's a really good reg, but I'll clarify the warranty claims before buying it.

and also talk to the rep for your area the policy for there parts for life program, is that you get free parts as long as the regulator is maintained, every year, if you skip a few years, you pay for parts for that year, but you still have parts free after that, to be honest scubpro does not care, it is the dealers being jerks, they can warranty the parts if they chose to do so, do not get rid of your cards are let any one tell you the parts for life is over because you were 10 days or 3 years late on a annual......that is crap... you need to raise hell with the local rep so he can keep the dealers in line and supporting the products correctly... |

Rep Power: 0 | | Re: SCUBAPRO MK25/S600 Question?? It is said to me that the local dive shops are not wanting to honor the life time parts warranty and are willing lose a customer over the cost of a repair kit that cost the dealer 13.00 for both stages, I have had stores in FL try to cut up my warranty card because I was 3 days past my annual, at that time My uncle still had his Subapro dealership and I knew ( and still know) a few people at Sucuba Pro, One quick call to their Sales rep and it the store was set straight, I got my parts, for free and the store was made by the rep provide my service for free as well. The program does give some common sense for a laps of the annual requirement, the Dealers have a HUGE Leeway, and ScubaPro does not care at all, if it has been more than a year, like 2 or more, you will have to by the kit, but after that as long as you do your regular serviced you will still get parts for life, the store that my uncle ran if we did have to charge for parts we sold them to the customer, at our cost, making our prophet only on labor. The customer loyalty is well worth more than the mark up of a repair kit. Some stores have OUT RAGOUS Mark ups on their repair kits 300% or more. The brink and mortar, stores have to get a clue, because they are and will continue to lose business to on line sales Craigslist and E-bay when they continue to not provide the service, that they should, and that SCUBAPRO expects from there dealers.ffice ffice" />>> |
