Default diving watches

Hi all,
I want to ask Santa for a diving watch this year. I saw some nice ones but I'd really like to have the best for diving, not only fashion. Any advice is welcome.

Remember every one has a different point of view. Mine is:
A scuba diving watch should be analogical (no digital numbers) because it it faster and easier to interpret for the brain. You should be able to time your dive, see your maximum depth, see the actual depth. This is the minimum... max depth alarm and alarm for fast ascent are a plus. You will find all that in the Citizen Aqualand Analog. Digital watches will have the ability to log some dives. In fact a diving watch should be waterproof until 200m and be able to time your dive, all the rest are plus. I like the fluorescent background. You just need to light it briefly with your torch before you look at it and you will be able to read it without having to keep your torch blinding you. You can choose a fluorescent version for nearly all citizens.

You should check with the manufactures spec, the stores will usually have them. I have lost more expensive watches that were "water resistant" watches due to condensation inside and general errors when have repairs done, on one it wasn't properly pressure tested after a repair and flooded... it was WR 200 M. when I returned it I was told it was not meant to be used as a waterproof watch thus no warranty. Some other watches such as Bulova Marine Stars are guaranteed water proof to the rated depth, its in writing from the company. Basically if you have a cheap watch dive it to see how deep it lasts and if its more expensive, unless the manufacturer guarantees it for diving don't use it.
P.S. some of the mid priced watch like the Casio G-Shock are great for diving with I've had my G-Shock on about 40 dives, several deeper than 30 metres and it still runs great.

Hello,
One of the important things that have to check when moving into for men's diving watch is to have a look at the form of water resistance as well as depth and pressure that the watch can sustain.

Thanks
Josh Jackson
