Question Mares fins?

Hi, I have decided to get fins from Mares.
I have read the reviews, but still I'm undecided between the Quattro excel and Excel+ (open heel).
Can someone who has tried both of these comment on the relative stiffness and power needed to use each?
I m worried that I get the one which is too hard too push..

Post helo this is scubabasics

The Amphibian Flip Fin is a high performance fin you can also walk in when entering and exiting the water...who knew? The days of dragging your fins in and out of the water are finally over! Dynamic Scuba Fins (or "flip fins") are a totally new class of fins. Take them out once and you will never go back to traditional fins.

I was going to go with the Quattro excel... However, I found something called the switchblade fin at "Beneath The Sea Expo". Since I am landlocked I thought it would be better for me to have a fin that was Easy to travel with. The fins actually collapse and extend. You can find them online at The Switchblade Fin.

Hello

i have used quattro avanti mars fins for long time, and its very comfortable in both diving and snorkeling, and doesn't need a lot of power to move, but if you liked to choose between open heel or closed heel this depends on where you going to dive, of the shore or of the boat, i prefer the open heel fins.
