Opinions on what to buy in which order?

Starting my OW course next month - hoping to go on to AOW in September - the school im using dive in dry suits and will provide all the equipment initially free of charge. I will have to buy my equipment in bit by bit and am interested to know what people think is the order to buy equipment in?

wet or dry suit
bcd
regs
tanks
unless you just wait till something is on sale then buy it.
