Rep Power: 0 | | Saba is my FAVORITE dive destination. There may be more fishy or colorful destinations in the world, but I LOVE SABA. It has the perfect combination of topside adventure, relaxation and underwater splendor. I love the pinnicles especially eye of the needle. Just a great spot. On the shallow dives, the nursery setting is great for novice divers and my daughter did her first dive there this past summer. Anyone who has been there, and knows of another destination similar to it, please let me know here so I can research them . I am always looking to expand to new places. |

thanks for sharing your personal tip! It's always exciting to get new information of divesites, so it would be nice to give us some detailed advice about the spots you visited or even post some photos, if you have!

it's true, everybody has his own favourites, but your post about Saba made me courious. What I found about it in the net is, that this island really seems to be a diver's paradise. I put it on my "to dive" list.
Thanks for the good tip!

The landing strip is the shortest commercial strip in the world I believe. The entire island is 5 square miles with a population of around 1500. The island is a dormant, not extinct volcano and you can climb to the top of it which is in the clouds and is considered an elfin rain forest. Just spectacular. Best shop is Sea Saba and really there are no bad dives. They are all a stones throw from the island and there are no beaches for shore diving but when the boat gets you there in 5 minutes, who cares. Can not recommend it enough. |
