Diving in Safaga Egypt

Have recently returned from diving in Safaga in Egypt with United Divers.

We were the only Brits in the resort but I would not let that stop anyone from going there, the dive centre were great and spoke enough fluent English to get through.

Being a quieter area of Egypt the dive sites are less crowded and much less disturbed and also offer dives to all levels of experience.

Great dive sites and for the more experienced diver is it great noy to have to follow guides as with most centres in Sharm or Hurghada.

Just a shame the sharks were in Sharm el Sheik!! but made up for by the 5 Eagle Rays in a group.

All in all a great time was had and we hope to return to Safaga and to United Divers.

I agree with you, Safaga is less crowded than Sharm or Hurghada!
But are you sure, that it's a shame, the sharks were in Sharm??
Maybe otherwise you would not have been able to write this post anymore...

Hi,

I just returned from Safaga. Some dive sites are really excellent, as ex. Abu Kafan and Panormama Reef.
Due to the recent crisis it's still poorly attended. There were only few diving boats going out.
Probably that's why we were lucky, we spotted a tresher shark and two white tips at Panorama!!
Great dive!
