Default TOP of TOPS to dive??

Hi all,

I'm planning a trip for November with two friends. We are all experienced divers and have been already to some interesting places of the world, like Mexico, Maldives and Red Sea.
We would like to experience something new. Which place provides the best biodiversity? All kinds of creatures - small and big ones, corals, warm water?

Who can suggest the TOP of TOPS?

Bluedolphin

Hi bluedolphin,

For biodiversity I would opt for Komodo, Papua New Guinea, or Palau. Komodo diving is great, but not so much big fish, Palau just fantastic, excellent macro, and lots of sharks and pelagics and in Papua you'll find all, amazing biodiversity and big animals as well!
Hard choice!

Hi,

yes Terry, I agree with you, Bali is one of my favourites too!
I've been there only once, but I was lucky, it was Mola Mola season in September! I had really amazing dives, these creatures are bizarre, they sometimes curiously approach the divers... a great experience!!!
I'll definitely return to Bali.

one of my best diving holidays was in burma with the smiling seahorse this year. great sealife (as much macro as bunaken but more big stuff like manta, sharks, huge nurse sharks... and I really enjoyed being the only one on the dive sites on a small boat, we were just 6 divers and didnt even see another dive boat while cruising the mergui archipelago, which is quite beatiful by the way, so many white sanded beach looking like noone ever stepped on them! I highly recommend for whoever want something different and exceptional! only little hic is the price of visa and fees, 160 USD, but it is well worth it and the price of the cruise itself was quite cheap.
