I'm taking a year off starting September and would like to start by doing a divemaster in some great spot. Recently I've been to Dahab and loved the little town, the people and the relaxed night life. So I'm looking for something similar somewhere else. Any thought? Was thinking about Costa Rica or Honduras...
While the divemaster training is going to be more or less the same everywhere you go because of the PADI requirements, there are two things to consider; 1. How much does it cost? and 2. What do I get? The cheapest place to make your divemaster is for sure Koh Tao in Thailand, offering the cheapest diving courses and dive course packages in the world. and it also acomodates the second question due to the amount of diving courses given on this rather small island the level of teaching experience is as high as nowhere else in the world.
So the question is: Is there anywhere a better spot but Koh Tao to become a certified divemaser? :-) I think not
