In your particular situation, yo make the transition from warm water to cold water. This very likey involves an orientation into the use of a dry suit, or at least thicker suits as you are used to. This may include hoods as well as gloves. Equipment such as this will require a different skill application. This means that the mask clearing skill involves also to make sure that the mask seal is under the hood before you are clearing the mask. Failing to do this will result in a mask constantly flooding, this in return is very uncomfortable and will spoil your dive.
I would suggest that you are going to visit a dive store nearby and get a proper introduction to that particular and unknown environement to you. This will ensure that you have the correct equipment and more importanly you will know how to safely use it.
If you are not sure where to go, then just send me a private message on this forum and I will be able to guide you into the right direction.
I hope this helps. Always safe diving
