Wetsuit and Booties should be inspected before diving to detect cuts or opened seams, to avoid that they get bigger or even burst during the dive. Check all zippers, if they open and close smoothly, if neccessary lubricate them with special wax. Dry suits have to be examined more thoroughly for any damages, especially the cuffs of the neck and the wrists as well as the dry zipper, because even small leaks can spoil your dive!

Also, it’s important to check the functioning of the dry suit valves. Before you jump into the water, test the inflator valve and the release valve to make sure they are operating properly. Any repairs on seals, cuffs, zippers or valves have to be done by a qualified technician.

After each dive soak the wetsuit and any other neoprene equipment in fresh water, dip it well to remove salt or sand from the material. For drying, put the suit on a coathanger in a dry place without direct sun exposure. The booties should be turned upside down to let water run out.

The best way to store your suit is to put it on a hanger, make sure that it’s completely dry and treat the zippers with a lubricate and the dry suit cuffs and seals with talcum powder.
