 Breaking news
The SS Gairsoppa, a K cargo ship sunk in 1941 has been discovered
The discovery of a shipwreck containing 200 tonnes of silver worth about £150m has been made in the Atlantic. This is the largest haul of precious metal that has ever been discovered at sea.

The SS Gairsoppa, was a UK cargo ship sunk by a German U-boat in 1941 It was found by US exploration firm Odyssey Marine.
All but one person from the 85-strong crew survived the torpedo attack as the ageing steamer attemped to reach Ireland.

The vessel was on its way back to Britain from India when it ran low on fuel in stormy weather, and tried to divert to Galway harbour, but it was then was spotted and sunk by the German submarine.

Three members of the crew survived in a lifeboat and reached the Cornish coast two weeks later, but two died trying to get ashore.

The wreck of the 412ft ship was found this summer nearly 4,700m below the North Atlantic, 300 miles off the Irish coast, but it was only confirmed as SS Gairsoppa last week.

Equipment news
DUI's new CXO drysuit has been designed for contaminated and extreme operations.

DUI’s CXO drysuit is designed to be more than just a drysuit to keep you safer in contaminated water conditions; it’s part of a completely encapsulating system. After all, it’s not just about the fabric that is used in the drysuit. It’s about the seams, the zipper, the seals, the valves, the hood and the full-face mask. The diver is only as safe as the weakest link in the SYSTEM.

The DUI CXO is the first step in providing Public Safety Divers with a SYSTEM. In combination with the educational seminars presented at DUI DOG Rally & Demo Tour events and consumer dive shows around the USA, DUI is the choice for diver protection.

Available in Men’s Select Sizes (short, regular and tall) in S, M, L, XL, XXL
Also available in Special Production Made to Measure Sizes!

Marine Conservation
Show your friends and family your blue side. Do the people around you know just how much you care for the oceans and the environment? Next time you get together, share some things that you have done to be a little more eco-friendly. The best way to make individual action contagious is to be an example for other people. By keeping it light, fun, and friendly, you can make your actions go much further! Also share your love for the ocean by submitting your favorite photograph to the Ocean Picture of the Day and share this site with your network of friends.

Direct your positive energy toward other like-minded people. A little praise can do great things. If you feel that there is an individual, a government official, an organization, or a company that stands out as a conservation leader let them know through a simple thank you e-mail or a letter to your local paper’s editor. It's simpler to work for change when empowered by a network of appreciative and supportive friends.

Get active on overarching policy issues. Behind every successful movement there are people just like you who take the time to speak out or submit written comments to public officials. You can begin participating in public hearings — such as those held in city and town halls throughout the U.S. — by being aware of the local issues addressed in each meeting. At these types of forums your participation makes a huge difference, whether attending in person or submitting online. Wherever you live, you can bring the issues most important to you to the attention of our leaders.

Why choose a web agency specialized in the diving industry?
The reason you use a web agency is to create , maintain and promote the presence of your company in the internet. The internet is the biggest source of customers for many of you already. If not you really need to change web agency. Before a web agency can create a strategy for your web presence it must carry out a market analysis. A good analysis takes time this will be on your bill in the end one way or the other or the strategy will not be successful.
A web agency specialized in the diving industry will always have an up-to-date market analysis, this means you can get successful moves for your website for a few bugs, and thanks to their experience in the diving industry it will bring you more business than an expensive piece of work done by a non diving specialist. They will have custom made applications for your website that you will be able to have for a fix price like an online availibility list for your liveaboard, online shop customized for diving equipments, course schedule list, bookings, offer request forms etc. If you let a web agency create
or customize an application you will pay per hour and they will spend a lot of time customizing it. They will have to bill you the whole amount because the chance to reuse it for the next customer which may be a real estate agent is small. A web agency specialized in the diving industry will have such applications ready to be used or will be ready to customize it for a small fee.
They will already have experience how to connect your website with online courses, they know what a bcd or a discover scuba diving is and they know how to promote it. Another agency will first need some explanation from you and try to find out how to promote it. A web agency like Scuba Promotion has been fine tuning their strategy for now 11 years. Think, you can save a lot and above all make much more income.
