Scuba diving in San Francisco Bay

San Francisco offers some very good diving opportunities in Northern California. Both shore and boat diving are available in the area. San Francisco is well known for lush and beautiful underwater life and its dive sites are great spots for underwater topography.

USAL Beach is an intermediate dive site. It is very rocky at the north part of the beach. The site is suitable for boat dive as well as beach dives. It may be closed in the winter months.

Ocean Cove is a site for all levels of expertise. Divers will enjoy its rocky bottom with a large population of rockfish and kelp forests. The cove depth can reach 25 feet (7 meters) or more.

Lake Tahoe is a great place to start you vacation. It has both beach and boat dives, and it suits all levels of expertise. Its fresh water makes a pleasant experience differ from ocean diving.
